The product consists of a suspension of nanohydroxyapatite in absolute alcohol. Hydroxyapatite (HA) processed according to an original Ghimas technique exhibits structural, dimensional and biofunctional characteristics that replicate those of natural dentin. This biomimetic nanohydroxyapatite binds to collagen fibrils on the surface of dentinal canaliculi, occluding them and, consequently, reducing or eliminating the algogenic stimulus. The active nanohydroxyapatite, once it has occupied and occluded the beating orifices of the dentinal canaliculi, is resistant to the acid attacks that occur in the oral cavity and, when applied to the abutments, penetrates the dentin, protecting it, without creating detrimental thicknesses for the placement of the prosthetic part.
